Part of the project was to involve tailor making two pairs of sculls, to the correct length to provide a suitable inboard to outboard ratio or gearing. They were finely hand fashioned in Oregon pine with a laminated spoon shaped blade, with a sleeve of leather and a button fastened to the loom of each scull.
The dinghy required a new stem assembly which was built using air-dried oak bends from the Weald. She also required a lot of new planking. Her hull, gunwhale, floorboards and thwarts were then scraped and sanded back to bare wood, primed and varnished.
